Ian Rennard

DipFA

Ian Rennard DipFA, is a highly experienced Financial Adviser with over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. His successful career began with Lloyds Bank and he also held roles with Scottish Widows and Prudential before he was invited to join St. James's Place.

About

Based in Limington, near Yeovil, he provides wealth management advice to clients in the comfort of their own home, or if preferred at their place of work. Ian lives with his wife Debbie and has two children, Chloe & Harry, along with the family pets. Outside of his business, he is a keen music lover, and regularly attends concerts. He has also been a strong fund raiser for Cancer Research UK, having undertaken 2 treks, to raise both awareness and money. His first trek took him from coast to coast across Costa Rica, through farming communities, coffee plantations and oak forests, deep into cloud forest and dense tropical rainforest. The second trek was across the deserts and mountain ranges of Jordan to the ancient city of Petra.

Ian's approach is holistic, covering all areas of his clients’ financial needs, including:

  • Pensions
  • Investments
  • Tax efficiency
  • Protection
  • Inheritance tax
  • Auto-enrolment

With some high-street providers moving away from financial advice, and the Bank of England base rate still low, Ian has found that many people don’t know where to turn or who to trust. Ian has helped many clients who have found that their current adviser or institution has stopped offering advice, or that they had lost track of how their investments or pensions were performing. By spending time understanding their needs, Ian designs a solution bespoke to that individual. The experience and expertise available via St. James's Place enables access to providers we believe represent the ‘best of breed’ in their respective categories and are capable of delivering the high standards you would expect.

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

An investment in equities does not provide the security of capital associated with a deposit account with a bank or building society.

The levels and bases of taxation, and reliefs from taxation, can change at any time. The value of any Tax relief depends on individual circumstances.
